Sixty Years Ago

Is the last time I had been on the East Lomond Hill to the southeast of Falkland. That is the location of today’s entry.

There are a number of masts, several of which relay data links into the Howe of Fife.

The last time I had stood here, I had walked up as part of a group of Boys Brigade working towards the Wayfarers Badge.

There was no road then. Today we just drove up to the car park and enjoyed a picnic.

The views are magnificent, but a successful photograph is beyond the capability of an iPhone.

However, on a warmer day and clear skies Pat and I will take the path up to the summit and look around the site of the Royal Fort of the Picts.

Another picnic and I will bring a more suitable camera.
