Life through the lens...

Seville oranges from Valencia.

Juicing and chopping and now in the pan to simmer for two hours before adding the sugar.
A perfect job for a dull rainy day.
That sweet, tangy, citrusy smell is divine.
Fabulous marmalade.

If anyone was watching James Martin’s Saturday Morning, you would have heard Tommy Banks talking about rhubarb. We were pleased he mentioned our Pudsey friends Tomlinson’s Rhubarb Growers.
Actually Robert and Tommy are good mates.
We enjoyed their rhubarb last night when I made a rhubarb and orange crumble.
The juice of an orange mixed with the rhubarb, and the zest with the crumble, which is made with oats and a spoonful of cinnamon as well as flour, butter, and Demerara sugar.
A delicious combination.
