The geese are back.

First the answer to yesterday’s quiz.
Thanks for just putting initials. You obviously knew about Percy Shaw and his invention. “ cat’s eyes”.
1890 - 1976. Left school at 13. In 1929 started his own business repairing roads.
He received an OBE in 1965.
Lived at Boothtown Mansion, Halifax for all but two of his 86 years.
His one luxury was his Rolls - Royce Phantom.

A dull but mild day. Very still with not even a breeze.
Had a walk over to the next village.
As well as snowdrops we saw our first crocus.
Nice to see the Canada geese back on the pond. Hope to see some goslings later in the year. Also 12 mallards. As usual more males than females so lots of squabbling and chasing going on.

Mr C watching the rugby at the moment. However there is a more important match taking place this afternoon. No doubt our son and grandson will be at Elland Road this afternoon.

Yorkshire Quiz No. 12.

Three Prime Ministers were born in Yorkshire.
Name two of them. ( initials only please )
If you know all three that will be great!
