Life through the lens...

From a distance.

After a few days away I’m not sure what day it is!
Did the farm shop this morning, instead of the usual Thursday or Friday. Then called for some eggs. Mrs Egg-man was just coming out with a stack of newly laid eggs, and so couldn’t have had fresher.
Poached eggs on toast for lunch, and with being so fresh they cooked perfectly.

There is a very good view of The Arqiva Emley Moor Tower from the egg farm, and with an interesting sky I took a photo for today’s blip.
The tallest freestanding structure in the U.K.
Along side is a temporary mast which was erected so that work could be undertaken on the main tower without interrupting transmission.
I believe this has now been finished and the temporary mast is up for sale, but not sure if this is correct.
We can also see both from our house in winter when there are no leaves on the trees. Looks good at night when they are both lit up. I think I have blipped that before, but just added an extra.

The answer to yesterday’s quiz question was Hardraw Force. Not the highest waterfall, but the highest single drop.
Quite a few got it right.

I wonder how many will know today’s question!
Please just put initials so that it gives others a chance of getting in right.

Yorkshire Quiz Nl. 11.

Who invented “ cat’s eyes “ for lighting the way along roads in the dark, and where did he come from?
