Soup run

I flagged my way through a Portuguese lesson with Ilídio. As I have graduated onto soup, Ilídio was unimpressed with the instant packet variety I was using instead of a homemade broth with sprigs of this and cubes of that. I explained I wasn’t trying to eat soup in a French bistro, I was trying to avoid explosive bathroom moments for the first time since Sunday. After our lesson he insisted in taking me to the supermarket, to see what other soup was available. Nothing, it turned out, but I did buy a new kettle as my other one had stopped working. When I got home I realised it was a socket issue and now I have a spare kettle and the same instant packet soup.
