Media City + Birdblip 29

We went over to Salford Quays this morning for a wander around before a visit to Pennington Flash in the afternoon. The weather wasn't brilliant but improved as the day wore on.

I used to work on Salford Quays and there has been a huge amount of development since then. The whole media presence is quite dynamic. The office I worked in was one of the first developments in the 1990s and I was somewhat surprised to see that it has been flattened and there is no trace of it anymore.   

In the afternoon we had a successful visit to Pennington Flash and added a few new birds to the annual list. The main one was the kingfisher although it was only a fleeting glimpse but at least we saw it.
