A Little Mystery

Returning from work late in the afternoon, I spotted this scilla flowering in the cold frame.   Just a few inches high, ice blue, generously flowered and quietly attractive.   When I checked the label its says:
Scilla sp.   Col N facing slope, 1600m OP 09
So, it looks like a Scilla, the collection details refer to a seed collection made by an Israeli friend, Oron Peri, the collection made in spring 2009.  I sowed the seed later that year.   I've left a message for Oron in the hope he can give me the species name.    After a slow start in my rather distracted years since 2009 it seems to be thriving now.

A day at Aber cafe, cleaning before the new running season starts next week.   Washdown for the public seating area completed today.  Others are in later in the week to finish the preparations.

Lots of admin and planning things ticking over today, a significant number of emails and phone calls.   Progress towards completion on Ruth's flat and plans for her brief return to Birmingham tomorrow sorted out.   At Jamie's after work a well timed call from the practice nurse yielded a prescription, duly collected, which should help sort his asthma cough.   Meg and I walked the lanes at Dusk, a nearly full moon rising overhead, before a trip to the shop, looking for something for our tea yielded pizzas, a pineapple and two mangos, all in the 75% off basket of todays date sell-offs.   A good day.
