Angus and I are off on our holidays. We wander around Kircudbright and then east a chip-heavy lunch at The Belfry.

The Airbnb is billed as a bothy. It’s a small extension at the side of the main house with plenty of space saving ideas - a wall-mounted folding dining table, a sliding step ladder to get to a cosy sleeping space above the bathroom.

They have some furry pet sheep and a very impressive, wide span polytunnel.
