Just another day in paradise

A lazy blip ... sorry!

Yesterday evening I convinced myself I'd caught Covid from S, as I had a scratchy throat and we had become somewhat less cautious about masking. I tossed and turned, failing to get to sleep for some time. But this morning I felt fine and my test was negative, yet again! S's had a stripe that was as pale as it could possibly be without being invisible.

So, result! I went to Spanish class. Unfortunately Michel hadn't showed up, so I had a private lesson with Mar. It could have been was hard work, but actually it was a pleasure as well. She's great to talk to. We read a couple of stories by Juan José Millas, a well-known Spanish author. I wasn't too impressed with the first one, but the second, from a collaboration with a cartoonist called Números pares, impares e idiotas, was delightful and very entertaining. Suitable for ages 8 to 88.

Afterwards I went for a reviving cafe con leche y tostada con tomate at our usual cafe. And then a bit of shopping, including a beautifully fresh dorada a la espalda, which S barbecued for lunch. It was delicious.

Lazy afternoon on the terrace,  cosy evening apero now that we are willing to socialise with each other a bit more :)
