Jack Sparrow

A rather coy, shy little look here from such a robust fellow! Sitting on a Buddleia branch he was patiently waiting to feed bending forward watching me.

I was trying to be unseen and shooting out of the wind in the utility with the door open. Disguised with a green fleece over the top half of the tripod and a green shooting mat standing on it's edge covering the lower half, my own Hide...... in stealth mode! Poppy refused to leave her basket in the corner and hunkered down giving me a look with one eye of quiet resignation! She knew not to move though, being beautifully behaved!

Jack knew I was there - they all did once the shutter went on the camera which, even though it was in 'silent mode' and I was 30 feet away, still clicks a bit giving the game away! Hunger prevailed though and as the bistro was well stocked it was just a matter of time before a few little feathery things rocked up! For Jack, being a big boy, was not to be underestimated - he had no problem with the pecking order and the Blue Tits were soon put in their place!

In the reflection in his eye you can see our house chimney :))
