Life in Sunny Dubai

Tea at the Ritz (Carlton)

(17/2/22)

I think G is powered by a Duracell battery. After a full day out and a very late night yesterday, she was up early to be at school at 7:30. Yikes! I was at my desk by 9 to see if my access to the system had been restored. It hadn't.

G came back a couple of hours later, and we headed to Dubai Marina to have Afternoon Tea at the Ritz Carlton. It is something that Farah likes to do when she visits places, but before we got there, we gave her a little tour of Palm Jumeirah.

Our tea and sandwiches were outstanding. One of the best we've had! Great service too. We left there and came back to town to show her the Creek. We started with a drink at the Sky Bar (which she loved). We then walked along Al Seef, where Farah did some shopping. The sun had gone down by this time. The last thing we did was take Farah to her tailor in the textile souk near there. She is having clothes stitched for a family wedding coming up in August.

In typical Eastern fashion, promised delivery times were missed, and we ended up waiting over two hours. Any plans to catch the Coldplay concert live on TV went out the window. We ate at the closest restaurant we could find and then dropped Farah at JVC before finally getting home just after midnight. Too tired to even contemplate blipping! :(

PS. This is my 3,600th blip!
