Em…

…in her wonderful warm coat!
We went to the Surf café for lunch and my minted lamb burger was delicious!

This afternoon I went for a long walk with Em and eldest daughter her husband and another grandaughter.  We crossed over a bridge over the Crigyll.  A small river that runs through the sand dunes and then across the beach to the sea!
We walked through the dunes with views over the airfield of the RAF jets that we had seen fly overhead but I just couldn’t get a good shot!

We carried on to the beach (main shot). It had turned into a beautiful day with blue skies and it was low tide.  So we thought we could just walk across the beach back to the house.  We had counted without the Crigyll! Even by the sea it was too deep to cross and we had to follow it back to the bridge we had crossed at the beginning!

Meanwhile Ro had packed and we were preparing to leave, fridges emptied, etc, etc.

We were supposed to leave tomorrow morning but with the storm Eunice on the way it was decided that we would be better leaving today.
We are home safe and sound!

Extras: walking along the Crigyll, back to the bridge, the restaurant we all ate in this evening before parting ways. And finally a last view from far away of the house we were staying in!
