Storm Eunice

Very wild here still as Storm Eunice passes through, it feels bad at the moment, but that might be as the wind direction is moving all over the place. This is the recorded wind speeds from the nearest weather station to me at Weybourne, about 3 miles away. So the strongest wind reported so far is 46mph with gusts of 74 mph. Shocking to see the damage that’s been done across the country, including part of the roof being ripped off the O2 arena (Millenium Dome). My sister in MK has had part of her neighbour’s tree come down in her garden, plus a tree next to the road split (the council dealt with that one in a couple of hours). I hope you’ve not suffered much damage where you are.

Another exciting curling semi final with the British women going through after an extra end as it had been tied. Looking forward to the men’s final tomorrow morning.

Day 704 / Day 23 Post Plan B (for my record only)
The WHO says that South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Senegal and Tunisia will be given the mRNA technology used in the most effective Covid vaccines. They will be able to set up their own production centres and help the continent become more self-reliant in the future.
