The Edge of the Wold

"No overnight parking, no overnight parking"

Storm Eunice has let us off fairly lightly, though we have had one small tree keel over in the garden. When I was on the front, an hour or more before High Tide, the estuary was filling up rapidly.  The black-headed gulls were enjoying shooting the breeze, occasionally landing near the cars in expectation of handouts.  Just before this was taken there was a torrential shower of rain with a small amount of hail mixed in.  Heading back up the hill, the garden was covered in hail stones - amazing the difference that a couple of hundred feet of altitude gain from the coast makes.  Plants in our garden always flower a little later than those at the bottom of the hill - because we have a cooler climate.

Back at home we had a productive day, with the campaign to sort out our chimney damp issues taking a significant step forwards.
