Our hellebore flowers

I went to a local shop to buy some supplies that Helena wanted, as she hasn't been feeling too good for a few days. Not exactly treats but better than just water!

As I came up to the front door I spotted our hellebore flowers in the front garden and thought that I should photograph them before the big wind storms that are expected tomorrow blow them over.

The weather was mild but cloudy and as you might notice I didn't spend too long on the process. But they are fine flowers which have never ceased to amaze me with their ability to bloom in the middle of winter. However it is probably wise to remember that several of the species are quite poisonous.
