Lisbon (again)

Up ridiculously early (3.30) for the 6:50 easyJet flight to Lisbon. Yes, it’s only been three months since Ben and I came early November, but here we are, my Christmas present being redeemed!

No delays, and three hours later with a bit of turbulence thrown in along the way, a passenger with a claustrophobic panic attack in an almost full flight we arrive in sunny Lisbon. Temps at 11am were 15 degrees. Of course again we are in the non EU large queue - before that we had a short queue to show our vaccine status and we get a blue band to show . The snaking queue enormous - thanks again fucking Brexiteer idiots for your moronic choices!

Metro down to Baixa/Chiado to our hotel which is facing us in this picture. Used to be the Brazilian embassy. Room not ready so left the cases and sat with a drink and the first pastel de nata. Tasty.

Hopped on the tram to Belem to visit the coaches museum and boy they knew how to have their old royalty travel in ornate coaches.

Tram back and into our room which is ginormous. Good was on our mind so Time Out is handy for some good choices.

We were both flagging by 730 so back to hotel and asleep by 9!
