Farmer’s market and dinner at La Vista

We went to the Farmer’s Market in Parnell first thing this morning to stock up on fruit and veg.  Unfortunately, there was an “incident” on the road and the milk man wasn’t able to be there.  After breakfast hubby went off to do his volunteering stint at the Maritime Museum. It was raining first thing but cleared up during the morning.

I pottered around doing housework this morning, then got some work out of the way during the afternoon.  This evening we went out for dinner to La Vista in St Heliers, just the two of us, something we haven’t done for a long time.  We walked there and back, which is always good, and had a lovely evening.

The blip shows our drinks - a refreshing beer for hubby and an Aperol Spritz for me. Hubby also enjoyed a very nice Syrah, but my Aperol Spritz lasted me all night - and our dessert, Belgium Chocolate Lava Cake - molten chocolate cake served with cherry syrup and Black Forest ice-cream.  It was as delicious as it looks. Very naughty, but not something we do very often.
