Now, as I see it......

Up the line

The last day of half term working on the railway today, so I went up to Windpump Crossing on Kelling Heath to see the first train of the day.  This view wouldn't have been possible until a few weeks ago as the area up to the lineside was covered in scrubby trees, brambles and thick undergrowth.  However, acres of land have recently been cleared to restore the heath.  The train was hauled by ex-Great Eastern Railway Class Y14 No 564, looking good in its blue livery.
