Mono Monday: Hard/Soft

A comparatively warm and bright day, so I took the opportunity to do some tidying up in the garden for the first time this year.  Quite a lot of dead material cleared away revealing new shoots waiting to come through.  It may not look a great deal different, but I almost filled the brown bin with what I'd removed; quite satisfying.

And the picture?  Well, it's a lovely date and cinnamon cake that W made this morning to use up a few things in the cupboard; soft cake and icing, and hard to resist!
