A Strong Diagonal

We spent part of the day watching the curling and the great success of the Women’s team winning the only Gold medal for GB.

Curling was very much a Scottish Invention and all of the curling stones come from Ailsa Craig, an island in the Firth of Clyde.

We also watched the closing ceremony which was a remarkable and moving event.

Finally watched the final episode of ‘Call the Midwife’ which was also moving.

None of this has anything to do with today’s Blipfoto entry which shows a section of the original paintwork in our South stair. Applied in 1843, and then covered in magnolia.
