When I Was Five

I would have looked similar to the boy in the thumbnail. ‘Wellies’ were usually  worn in winter. Certainly not the most comfortable apparel to wear with short trousers.

I had mentioned the BBC Series "Call The Midwife" in yesterday’s entry when the final dramatic episode of Series 11 was shown.

All 86 episodes of the 11 series are available on BBC iPlayer and can be viewed at leisure. It is an excellent drama series.

They are based on three volumes of memoirs by Jennifer Worth. I bought the three volumes in a charity shop in St Andrews. They had not been read until I read them. Well worth the read.

Wellies are Wellington Boots.
