'The Hamnavoe' Ferry

The Ferry in the background beyond the walkway; smaller fishing boats in the foreground.  Photo taken on February 14th, last Monday.
The Ferry is not our only lifeline to the Scottish mainland, but it is the main one for a lot of people living in Stromness.  During the summer there are three return journeys a day, six days each week and two on Sundays.  During the winter months that is reduced to two a day.  Sometimes the sailing times change in stormy weather and occasionally the trip is cancelled when the weather is particularly bad.

Yesterday I blipped a reflection in the Rice Warehouse window.  This is the scene that was partially reflected.

Extra:  Down at the shore this morning
