The wet sheep were probably oblivious to the wind turbines at Soutra which were whizzing around at great speed.  Our third long car journey in five days was no easier than the other two had been battling against the strong wind and rain each time.  Fortunately today’s was shorter and there were very few lorries with the potential worries of any blowing across our route. Intentions to explore some of the Northumberland landscape were abandoned due to the intense rain hence no blip opportunities despite my planned shots.  Vast deep puddles covered the roads until north of Jedburgh when the road and weather improved and there was even a brief glimpse of sun. Despite the stormy conditions it had been a good short break seeing the family and friends and then some Roman remains on Saturday.
