Shakespeare’s Hands

Storm Franklin finally seemed to move on from Stratford so we went out to town this afternoon for a coffee at The Barge and Quarterdeck.   I was also thinking about today's Mono Monday hosted by Jensphotos with the theme Hands.  So we went in via Henley Street and the large statue of Shakespeare where I knew I'd be able to get some shots of the man's hands.  The coffee barge is on the canal basin by Bancroft Gardens.  Whilst there I looked over at the Gower Shakespeare Monument erected in 1888 where Shakespeare sits surrounded by four of his characters representing Tragedy, History, Philosophy and Comedy.  Each character has very expressive hands.  The figures are Lady Macbeth, Prince Hal (Henry V), Hamlet and Falstaff.
