Wilmcote

We were aware that the next storm, Franklin, was due to hit us this afternoon so we decided to pop out before lunch, and hunker down after.  So we took ourselves off to Wilmcote for a walk by the canal.  Although it was already a bit windy, it was dry, and surprisingly not cold.  On the way back to the village we spotted these alpacas in a field.  There were about half a dozen feeding but these two looked up inquisitively as we stopped to look at them.

We arrived home before the storm hit, the rain in the howling gail is now torrential.  After lunch I retreated into the kitchen and cooked an aubergine curry for tea.
