Green shoots

It is lovely to enjoy my nightly walk with Moss in ever increasing daylight - tonight I spotted these first tentative shoots of Wild Garlic. I got quite excited thinking about all the lovely dishes I will make once the leaves are bug enough to pick. I enjoy marking the passing seasons with wild foraged fruits and leaves and these are among the first I harvest, along with Nettles.
I am not wishing the year away as time is passing quickly enough as it is but it is lovely to anticipate!
