Heritage Day here in Nova Scotia and a holiday and the sun was shining and it was mild, +7 C. I decided to take a drive to Lunenburg area today, and included a drive to Blue Rocks too.
Blue Rocks is one of the many small, picturesque fishing communities along the south shore of Nova Scotia. In the summer it can be a busy spot. It lives up to its name, the rocks are more blue than gray. It is a popular spot for sea kayaking too, and in the summer, you can rent a sea kayak from one of the small shops here.
