Primrose, harbinger of spring

This morning, we joined six others on a work party to finish bramble clearance on our local wildlife area. We have left plenty of bramble but needed to remove some which was strangling trees and  taking too much light from smaller plants. We had just finished when it started to rain quite hard so it was good timing. In two weeks time we plan to have our  final bonfire and BBQ for the winter on site.

Later, I had a look around our garden and found these primroses in flower. I also discovered a pane of glass  had been blown out of the greenhouse during the storms; it could have been a lot worse.
