Green Woodpecker

A calm weather day!! A rarity indeed! lovely blue skies to enjoy and this green woodpecker was enjoying digging for ants in our neighbours lawn this lunchtime!!

A day of running errands - had to go and pick up some medication in Rayleigh and then we went to Southend as Dad needed to speak to someone at Natwest as he lost the will last night trying to get through to someone by phone!  Why do they make modern life so stressful?! Oh for the days of a local branch you could walk to, see the bank manager who knew you and would deal with the issue!!  Even the member of staff he spoke to today had troubles ringing for assistance - think it took him about 40 minutes after we left - but did ring us at home to explain the outcome!

And this afternoon I've been pottering in the garden as  a big box of plants arrived this morning that I'd forgotten I'd ordered haha!  Some of them have now been found a home in the borders but there's more for me to sort out over the weekend!
