Looking back ....

At our u3a history group this morning we shared childhood memories.  The books and the doll belonged to our host. Our ages ranged from past 80 to approaching 60 so memories spanned from wartime - to postwar -  late 60s/early 70s.

All were  interesting but I  found the memories of growing up in or after the WW2 especially poignant, especially  when thinking (or trying to think) about what  is happening in Ukraine.

I then enjoyed a walk across the fields and through the woods with VC, taking in the Black Spout waterfall which was in full flow, before enjoying pea soup at local cafe.
