Enjoying a leisurely paddle

The best laid plans don’t always work out.  We planned to visit ‘The World of Wings’ to see the birds of prey but as we arrived at the entrance we saw a notice saying that Coffee Cabin was closed till March 5th.

A quick turn around and we went to Drumpellier Park where the cafe was open and we enjoyed a coffee and shared toasted teacake before setting out on our walk round Lochend Loch.

No birds of prey but plenty of swans, goosanders, coots, geese, mallards, cormorants and one lone goldeneye.

What a difference in the weather today, particularly in the morning when we enjoyed sunshine and blue skies with not a breath of wind.
