If you can't beat them...

Camellia japonica "Susan Stone"

A while ago Clickychick decided she would like a Camellia and chose this one.  I can't imagine that the name influenced her in any way :-))

Susan Stone is described as an outstanding cultivar that flowers from February until at least April.  For once the plant doesn't appear to have been forced to be in flower at the point of sale rather than its natural flowering season.  As this is one of the most open flowers it obviously isn't going to have opened its flowers, which are double, by the end of February.
