No touching

Every city is now plastered with stickers and images such as this, forbidding people from greeting each other with a handshake, or to stand in a certain spot two metres from anyone else. I look forward to days of renewed physical contact, as it is more pleasant than the current distant wave or awkward smile. The only saving grace has been the stopping of double cheek kisses during Mozambique’s sweaty hot season. No one wants to absorb someone else’s perspiration.
