We Must Always Remember.....

Our world is a troubled place.  We hear every day about wars and rumors of wars, corruption at the highest levels and oppression  of the innocent.  The rumblings can fill us with fear of what might happen.  But in the sermon this morning at FBC , Pastor Wes reminded us through the story  of King Asa in the Old Testament, that when trouble comes our way, God is not caught off guard or surprised.  We should not ignore it, thinking that it will go away on its own or run away and hide and think that the problem is too big and will destroy us.  Instead, Pastor Wes encouraged us to Suit up,(prepare to do what we can), Show up(put ourselves in a position where God can use us) Stand up (engage the enemy) and Look up (watch what God will do when the time is right).   That does not mean that we will never face difficult circumstances, but it does mean that we will not go through bad times alone.  Remember, the battle belongs to the Lord!  You would be encouraged if you watched the sermon yourself.  I was!
