Wound up in Wexford

Roofing repairs

The roofers who came and assessed our water ingress were somewhat scathing of the roofing done by whoever built the extension at the back of the house.  "They weren't roofers, they were builders".

The original house is 18th Century, with multiple additions.  We don't know exactly when, or by whom, the little back extension was built.  It had a mishmash of flat and pitched rooves, and we have had intermittent problems, which we kept thinking we had sorted.

Today, the roofers came and did more repairs.  Perhaps the problems are now, just in time for us to move out, finally properly sorted.

The roofers also sorted out the guttering/downpipe dissociation on the front of the house.  And the drains were sorted out on Friday.  So now that's all three glitches sorted, perhaps the house sale can get a bit of oomph - W wrote to our solicitor today saying that we feel as though we are in limbo.
