New job

Our daughter had an interview today for a job she was very enthusiastic about and came round to drop the car off afterwards. She felt it had gone really well and she had a good feeling. It’s at one of the private fee-paying schools as the social action and enrichment co-ordinator and ticks several boxes.

As Phin was at doggy daycare, we all headed off to the big Swedish warehouse to try and pick up blinds for the kitchen windows and some sort of unit to put on the back wall in the kitchen. we found the blinds ok and the unit was in stock but in Glasgow so we’ve ordered it on click and collect and will need to head through tomorrow to pick it up.
Whilst walking round, Miss PHL was called by the school and offered the job. She (and we) are over the moon. It’s 4 days a week for 46 weeks of the year (36 weeks of term time plus 10 other weeks) and they’re happy for her to continue with her bar job which she’d like to do. Hopefully she will start next week.

We had to visit the restaurant for a celebratory lunch of meatballs, chips and gravy which would have been my blip for today if I hadn’t stolen this one from the doggy daycare.

We dropped our daughter back to her flat and popped into the flooring company to place the order and arrange a fitting date - 14th March so I’m hopeful the kitchen will be finally finished by the end of the month assuming we can get the joiner in to fit the skirting boards after the flooring is down.

After my big lunch I’ve had beans in toast for dinner and finally caught up on blip (again).
Feeling much improved again today but still buzzy in my ears.
