Shiny Surfaces

Another damp day. I am certainly not waterproof! After venturing out and about on my morning patrol, Pat and I decide to stay at home and work on our various hobbies.

Although I have officially and do no more work for clients, we do have our own projects to work upon.

These include the Chapter House at Forgandakey. I am also designing a new very energy efficient and green house for a plot that I has been in our family for some 65 years.

A feature of this house will be a shower constructed from glass blocks. The extra is a photograph of just such a shower constructed for a client and today’s main photo is an ‘abstract’ variation using The Pencil Sketch app.

The provisional name for this project is "The Library House" to house our collection of books and art works.

We received a cheque in the post as SSEN Compensation for Storm Arwen. This is the first of two cheques and is for our disrupted Thanksgiving Holiday at Craigendarroch. A very pleasant surprise.

We remain very concerned about Ukraine. We have heard from ‘Agent Archer’. He was transported out of Kiev on a military aircraft and after a very short stopover in Scotland he is in Canada visiting his father.

We have also received news from NK, a native of Russia who has lived in various EU countries and Scotland for the last thirty years. She is safe as is her elderly mother who remains in Russia.

We continue to hope and pray for a peaceful end to this tragedy in Ukraine.
