Spiky thoughts

It has rained all day. We visited RHS Bridgewater this morning, it was very wet. Which was fine, it became very very wet as we left so we had the best of the day.

We have a friend whose daughter in law is Ukrainian, she will be desperately worried about her family back home. What Putin is doing, with ruthlessness and no mercy, and surrounded by a cloud of disinformation, beggars belief. But he has a track record going back years, reading about it as I have been doing is deeply unsettling. He will succeed militarily in Ukraine at a terrible cost to the Ukrainians, and leave the world in a different place. He cannot be allowed though to get away with his strategy with impunity, the implications of what he might do next do not bear thinking about.
