One of the many fascinating things about living on a floating lodge is to really began to understand how they are constructed and what you can do with them. Over the weekend we were taking the existing carpet up in one of my rooms to lay new wooden flooring. My partner then started to pull up the rest of the floor! to see how far the bottom of our lodges were away from the water and otters! Not far it would seem at all! With all the terrible and increasing floods in the UK over recent years we really should be building more of these constructions that just raise and fall naturally with water levels.
