A Lifestyled-Work How can you trust what you see?

I came across this great little article this morning on my instagram feed. From studying part neurology, vision science and psychology. What and how we perceive the world around us has always fascinated me. Especially the role of how light fundamentally factors into in our interpretation of how we see and colour the world around us. Our photoreceptors the rods (night vision) and cones (which there are 3 of (responsible for colour and light). The 3 pick up different wavelengths (which represent red, blues and greens). After light hits our eyes it strikes a cone triggering a chemical response. In turn  launching electrical messages to the brain and the hypothalamus which in turn create  physiological changes in our behaviour and emotions. Aren't eyes amazing tools?
