Too nice to stay indoors

So many things on the 'to do' list, and numerous bits and pieces of decorating to finish off. We should really get some of this stuff done!
I sorted out a few things this morning while MrM gave a music theory lesson. But it was such a fine sunny afternoon, far too nice to stay indoors, that we decided to make the most of it and go for a walk.

Let's go a bit further today, suggested MrM. It turned out to be quite a lot further than we've walked recently, almost 13km, and this evening my legs feel a little worse for wear! It was a nice walk though - around the back of Humbleton Hill, on to Gains Law, a short section of St Cuthbert's Way, and across the moors to the Common Burn Road - with some great views. Hedgehope Hill is in the distance in the Blip; unfortunately the crag in the middle distance isn't named on the map. Interestingly, there's no snow to speak of on Hedgehope, but the top of The Cheviot (just off the Blip to the right) in snow covered. They each have a separate weather forecast on the Met Office. Couldn't resist an extra (best in 'large') of Yeavering Bell, with the iron-age hill fort on each of its double summits just about visible.

It was almost dark by the time we dropped down in to the town. Home to make pizza...
