The .............

 ............... Grapes of Wrath!!     Why?

Grapes = obvious .............. 
Wrath = had them four days, opened them, mouldy in the centre!!!

Now they're out for the blackbirds - too far to bother taking them back - would have cost me more in fuel!!
I threw them across the grass thinking they would split up on impact - nope, must be the mould holding them together!!!!!!!
