A treat for my fellow blippers. It's not everyday you get to see something really unique, something that only happens once..

In this case, it's the most northerly palm trees in the world, well in Europe anyway.. They are here in Scourie, in the Lodge gardens, there's about half a dozen of them..

They are New Zealand palms, from the South Island, which has a very similar climate to the UK. Well here they are, in all there glory, surviving the fiercest Atlantic storms, withstanding all that the elements throw at them.. Aren't they good.
