Trigger finger

Today, I was shot in the hand with Cortisone to help cure a case of trigger finger. It should have the full effect in 4 or 5 days, but if it doesn't improve in 4 to 5 weeks, surgery will be necessary.

Trigger finger is caused by an inflamation of the sheath that covers tendons that operate the fingers. It causes the finger to curl and become difficult to straighten. Sometimes the finger will click as it passes a tight spot (triggering).

We will give it time to heal.
