We are presented with lots of information all the time. Some of this is manipulated. I would hope that our government would try to be as transparent as possible, particularly regarding people in crisis...

Boris said today: "This government has a proud, proud record. We've done more to resettle vulnerable people than any other European country since 2015." This is true, but only relates to only one category of refugee.
Taking all categories of refugees and looking at the figures in proportion to a country's overall population, 20 other European countries have taken in more refugees than the UK. Boris didn't mention that.
