My mum had one of these mincers

I can still remember her screwing the mincer to a shelf in the kitchen and then forcing in a mixture of ham and tongue, while turning the handle, to make a mixture for her meat loaf. Sometimes I was allowed to turn the handle but not force the meat on top of the large central screw .... just in case my little fingers got caught.
