Joey's Lane

The rain cleared this afternoon and I headed out to Dartmoor. This is Joey's lane, an old packhorse route near Burrator. The oak trees here form a tangled web over the path. I wondered after the Winter storms whether they would have suffered any damage, but they seemed to still be fairly intact. Lower down on the reservoir there was an interesting selection of birds. They included 2 canada geese, a farmyard "snow" goose, mallards, madarin ducks, muscovy ducks and 3 goosander (1m and 2f).
