Bay to the left, saltpond to the right, low tide. Delightfully bleak along the levee this afternoon - looks like this new pile of rock is designed to deal with one of the weak points where the strong winds of Spring and  Summer threaten  to push bay water across at high tide. The only person I met out there today was an Englishman - so naturally we exchanged words about the weather.
