After the rain

I had a good evening with friends last night watching the rugby, a fine game but marred by the sending off after one minute which meant that the final result was more or less a certainty.  Afterwards we had a curry followed by Eton mess, fruit crumble and chocolate and pear cake with coconut cream. Of course, I had to have a bit of each!  The mist and clouds were very low as I walked to church this morning but at least the rain had stopped. I went for a damp walk before lunch and then made some calls to family and friends and sketched out a canvas to start on tomorrow.
