Blackbird

A notable day today :- we begin our third year under the Covid pandemic. We began self-isolating a week earlier than the first official lockdown.

Partway long our mossy border the moss is very fragmented and I often wondered why - now I know, having watched this blackbird pecking. That area is where I watched the flying ants a couple of years ago, so this must be part of their nest. I'm happy for the blackbirds to eat as many as they like.
